Student Press Institute (SPI) Suara Satwa Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University Wins Bronze Medal in the 2022 SPS Award

 

Tuesday (29/03/2022) night was a happy night for many mass media, both print and digital. After being conducted online in 2021, this time the SPS Award night was held which was organized by the Press Company Union (SPS) for the 13th time at the Jogja National Museum with the theme "Maintaining Journalism, Strengthening Nationalism".


The SPS Award consists of 4 award categories, namely IPMA (Indonesia Print Media Award), InMA (Indonesia Inhouse Magazine Award), ISPRIMA (Indonesia Student Print Media Award) and IYRA (Indonesia Young Readers Award). On this occasion, LPM SS (Student Press Institute Suara Satwa) managed to bring home the Bronze Award in the ISPRIMA category. This category is an event of appreciation for the best student press covers in Indonesia. On this occasion SPI SS was represented by Rahma Anissa Prayoko as Generam Manager, Rindar Mentari Nusanti Putri as Editor in Chief and Muhammad Hasby Arrizki Akbar as Distribution and Advertising Coordinator who was accompanied by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Cooperation of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Udayan University Dr. drh. I Wayan Sudira, M.Si.

 


Besides being attended by the Daily Chair of the Central SPS, Januar Pribadi Ruswita and the Central SPS Management, the Yogyakarta City Secretary (Sekda) was also present, Aman Yuriadijaya and SPS Branch Managers throughout Indonesia, chairman of government institutions, private sector, and internal media managers of severals universities. 

The theme “Maintaining Journalism, Strengthening Nationalism” was raised with the hope that with the quality of the media, the public will look to the media, both in print and digital. Thus, people will be more moved to read so that hoaxes will be much reduced.

"The media must be creative in presenting the appearance and content that is maintained to strengthen quality journalism. It must also be rich with new ideas that can bring its media presence closer to the readers or the public," said Januar in his opening remarks.
