COMMUNITY SERVICE "DEVELOPMENT OF FRUIT VILLAGE AS A CENTER OF ORGANIC FARMING AGROWITIES IN BANGLI DISTRICT"

On Friday, March 25, 2022, at 10.00 WITA, a community service activity with the theme "Development of Buahan Village as a Center for Agro-tourism Organic Farming in Bangli Regency" was held at the Fruits Village Workshop Office, Bangli Regency. This activity was chaired by Dr. Ir. Ni Luh Kartini MS., which was also attended by Mr. I Made Antara, as the Bendesa Adat of Buahan Village. This service activity is the implementation of the Higher Education Tri Dharma which is routinely carried out by lecturers at Udayana University, which aims to apply the knowledge and innovations possessed by lecturers to the wider community. This activity begins with socialization of techniques for carrying out organic farming activities, followed by observation of the land that will be used as a location for organic agriculture development in Buahan Village.

Besides being carried out by lecturers, as part of the implementation of Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM), this community service activity also involves students as actors in community service activities. As many as 10 students from the Agribusiness S1 Study Program, Agro-ecotechnology S1 and S1 Landscape Architecture Study Programs were involved in the activity which was held in this village located on the shores of Lake Batur in Kintamani Regency. With this activity, it is hoped that the community/farmers in Buahan Village will be able to develop organic agriculture which has the potential to develop it. In addition, lecturers who are also researchers are able to provide / disseminate research results and innovations so that they have an impact on the community, and also provide opportunities for students to be able to go directly to see problems that occur in real terms in the field and train students' sensitivity to the most factual issues that occur. in society.
