Implementation of INSPIRE Research and Exploration of Cooperation with Monash Law School, Australia

Victoria, FLUNUD.ac.id - Wednesday (06/12/2023) Research Team of INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIP INSTITUTIONAL-BASED RESEARCH (INSPIRE) FH UNUD with the research title "Digital Mapping for Preventing Tourism Planning Violations: A Comparative Legal Analysis of Indonesia and Australia" conducted a field study to the Monash Law School campus, Clayton, Victoria, Australia. The activity was attended by participants from Monash Law School Professor Bryan Horrigan (The Dean of Monash Law School) and Dr. H. Nadirsyah Hosen, L.LM., M.A., Ph.D. (Deputy Associate Dean (International)). As well as the INSPIRE Research Team FH UNUD namely Prof. Dr. Putu Gede Arya Sumerta Yasa, S.H., M.Hum (Dean of FH Unud), I Gusti Ngurah Parikesit Widiatedja, SH, M.Hum., LLM, Ph.D, Dr. Sagung Putri M. E. Purwani, S.H., M.H., I Made Budi Arsika, S.H., LL.M., Bima Kumara Dwi Atmaja, S.H., M.H., and Made Cinthya Puspita Shara, S.H., M.H.. 

The agenda of this field study included, first, the Implementation of INSPIRE Research of the UNUD Faculty of Law Team; second, the Exploration of Higher Education Tridharma Cooperation between Monash Law School and UNUD Faculty of Law and its signing. The results of the initial agreement: Implementation of International Seminar activities that will invite Nadirsyah Hosen to FH UNUD, cooperation plan to invite Monash Law School lecturers as External Examiners of Law Doctoral Program FH UNUD, Making Training Program (Executive and Judicative Educational Program) for Law Enforcement Officials and legislators in Indonesia, Preparation of moot court cooperation program plan. 

As a form of refining the literature study, the Research Team visited the State Library of Victoria and interviewed local authorities (Melbourne City Council) related to the procedure for applying for spatial planning permits and the use of digital maps in approving spatial planning permits in the State of Victoria, Australia. Field study activities provide benefits for the improvement of research, and it is hoped that through this research the international cooperation between FH UNUD and Monash Law School will run well.
