Celebrating the 61st Anniversary of Udayana University, KMPA FK Unud Educates Young Generation to Realize Three Zero HIV/AIDS

 

In order to celebrate the 61st Anniversary of Udayana University, the AIDS Care Student Group (KMPA) held a National Talkshow which was held online. (2/9/2023)

This activity was attended by core members and young members of the Semi-Autonomous Body for the AIDS Care Student Group, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, the academic community of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, and the general public.

This year's KMPA National Talkshow carries the theme "Meta-Optimization: Policies and Strategies to Realizing Three Zero HIV/AIDS in Indonesia" where this theme is raised with the hope that the 2023 National Talkshow participants will have awareness and know the role of the younger generation in the success of achieving the Three global goals. Zero HIV/AIDS. In addition, it is hoped that the younger generation will know the problems and be able to find solutions so that by 2030 Three Zero HIV/AIDS can be achieved.

In this talk show, there are three materials presented guided by the moderator, namely dr. Ida Ayu Santhi Pertiwi Manuaba, S.Ked. The first material was about "Comprehensive View of HIV/AIDS in Clinical Aspect and Latest Innovations in HIV/AIDS Therapy" presented by Prof.Dr.dr. Ketut Tuti Parwati Merati, SpPD-KPTI, FINASIM, she is a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine who is concerned with issues related to HIV/AIDS.

The second material was regarding "Holistic Approaches in HIV/AIDS Management Improving Access to Healthcare Services for PLWHA" presented by Drs Yahya Anshori, MSi, as staff of KPA Bali Province. KPA is an institution that often plays an active role in providing HIV/AIDS services. In addition, KPA also often makes strategic policies on HIV/AIDS issues in the Province of Bali.

The third material was about "Living with HIV: Maintaining Quality of Life and Mental Health Prevention Strategies and Policies to Achieve Three Zero HIV/AIDS in Indonesia" presented by Yurike Ferdinandus, S.A, as a member of IPPI Bali Province. He is also active in carrying out anti-discrimination activities for PLHIV and voicing their rights.

This activity was officially opened by the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Information at the Udayana Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. I Md. Ady Wirawan, M.P.H., Ph.D., which was marked by 3 rounds of applause.

Prof. Ady, in his speech, expressed his appreciation for the 2023 KMPA National Talkshow activity, where this activity aims to raise awareness among the younger generation so that they are able to actively participate in the success of the Three Zero HIV/AIDS global goal by 2030 and increase awareness and sensitivity towards current HIV/AIDS problems. "Hopefully this KMPA National Talkshow can be useful for participants and can provide an understanding of problems related to HIV/AIDS which are threats and obstacles to the realization of Three Zero HIV/AIDS," he said.

The agenda for the 2023 KMPA National Talkshow activities this time is filled with filling in pre-test material, providing talkshow material, talkshow sessions, filling in post-test material, giving door prizes, announcing rewards, and ending with closing. This activity was also attended by representatives of each BEM, HM, and BSO at FK UNUD.
