Student Community Service Udayana University, Singapadu Tengah Village Participates in Rabies Socialization and Education with the Seva Bhuana Foundation

Rabies socialization and education activities organized by students of the Community Service Program (KKN) of Udayana University (Unud) Central Singapadu Village in collaboration with the Seva Bhuana Foundation invited students of State Elementary School (SDN) 1 Singapadu Tengah from grades 4-6 to participate in a series of rabies outreach and education events.

 

On Wednesday (26/07), the Community Service Program (KKN) in Singapadu Tengah Village, Udayana University (Unud) together with the relevant Seva Bhuana Foundation officially held a rabies socialization and education activity aimed at imparting knowledge to State Elementary School (SDN) students. 1 Singapadu Tengah regarding rabies education.

 

The activity was attended by 53 students, school principals, as well as all homeroom teachers of State Elementary School (SDN) 1 Singapadu Tengah and members of the Seva Bhuana Foundation who acted as resource persons in presenting material related to the differences between healthy dogs and sick dogs.

 

Not only presenting material regarding the differences between healthy dogs and sick dogs, the Seva Bhuana Foundation also participated in explaining what foods dogs can eat and what foods dogs cannot eat. Also, students are taught to be able to understand how to proceed when bitten by a dog. The presentation of this material was assisted by Student Community Services (KKN) students Udayana University (Unud) Singapadu Tengah Village interspersed with questions and answers.

 

 

The socialization and education that has been carried out certainly does not always run smoothly because some students are unable to attend. However, this did not necessarily dampen enthusiasm. This is evidenced by the alertness of the Seva Bhuana Foundation and KKN students who enthusiastically communicate with students. In addition, socialization activities are getting livelier because the students of Singapadu Tengah 1 Elementary School (SDN) give a positive response and are enthusiastic in welcoming the material.

 

"The activities are very exciting and there are many things that we can learn, sis. I can't wait to tell the family at home," said Namira, one of the students who participated in the socialization and education activities on rabies.

 

By going to the field, it is hoped that it can help the students of Singapadu Tengah 1 Elementary School (SDN) to realize that they have a very important role as they are able to convey or convey the material presented in class to their family and closest relatives.
