Creating an application based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology led the Equinox Team to win third place in the ACE 2023 competition event.

Denpasar, Press Bureau of BEM FEB Unud: A proud achievement was achieved by the Equinox Team, consisting of Ni Putu Diva Mahasanthi from the Diploma III Accounting Study Program and Gede Wahyu Pratama Putra from the Bachelor of Economics Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University, class of 2022, who won third place in the national level competition, the ACE 2023 (Accounting Competition) Essay and Infographic Competition. The competition was held by the Accounting Student Association and Ciputra University Accounting Study Program on May 27, 2023, and was attended by 71 groups from 35 universities spread throughout Indonesia. The competition carried the theme "Financial Management Innovation by Millennials as Indonesia's Bright Spot Facing the Threat of Recession 2023". The Equinox team won the competition by coming up with an application concept based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology, which is an application capable of recording and providing solutions related to financial problems.

 

 

The long competition process started with Wahyu Pratama's idea to create an AI-based application to help solve financial problems and increase the use of financial technology in the workplace. This was followed by the process of making essays and finding out the working system of AI technology. Diva Mahasanthi said the idea was revolutionary, realistic, and in line with the theme of the competition. Although they did not have the opportunity to win first place, Diva Mahasanthi and Wahyu Pratama still feel proud and happy to have won third place in the national event, especially since they have been able to create an innovative concept that has been recognized by the jury and declared worthy to be developed into a mature application in the future.

 

 

Although in the process of making this work, Diva Mahasanthi and her colleagues experienced obstacles such as difficulties in obtaining relevant references, dividing time between lecture activities, working on competition projects, and being coupled with their other activities. However, with teamwork and good communication, they were able to solve the problems and obstacles that occurred. In addition, the support and positive direction from their two supervisors, Gede Juliarsa, S.E., M.Si., and Dr. Ni Nyoman Reni Suasih, S.IP., M.Si., have successfully led them to finally be able to complete this project to the presentation round with the judges and win third place in the competition. Diva Mahasanthi strongly believes that with good teamwork, whatever is done will be passed easily.

The spirit and high confidence in the team make Diva Mahasanthi always dare to start new things and challenge herself to continue to dare to try and try to realize dreams. In an interview that took place online via WhatsApp chat, Diva Mahasanthi conveyed her message to anyone who wants to try new things, whether in competitions or other positive activities.
