Community Service with the theme

On Tuesday (08/08), PSSE FEB Unud held a community service activity with the theme "Processing Coconut Waste into Goods that Have Economic Value According to Circular Economy Principles" at Wantilan Br. Tengah, Selumbung Village, Manggis, Karangasem.

 

 

This activity was attended by the Head of Selumbung Village and all village officials, Selumbung villagers, PSSE FEB Unud lecturers, and students in the FEB Unud environment.

 

 

This activity began with remarks from the Head of Selumbung Village, Mr. Wayan Sudiarka, then remarks from the Chairman of the Committee, Wayan Hari Premananda, S.E., M.Ec.Dev, and this activity was opened by Koprodi PSSE FEB Unud, who on this occasion was represented by Prof. Dr. Ni Nyoman Yuliarmi, SE, MP, with a mic tap three times.

 

 

The resource person for this activity, namely Mr. I Gusti Gde Nyoman Hendra Wiguna, S.E., M.M., is a representative of the Bali and Nusra Ecoregion Control Centre, KLHK RI, with material on "Circular Economy in Supporting Waste Management" and the second resource person, namely Mr. I Gede Suryawan, is a coconut waste processing practitioner as well as the owner of Yande Batok, with the material "Processing Coconut Waste into Goods that Have Economic Value", which is moderated by PSSE FEB Unud Lecturer, Dewa Jati Primajana, S.E., M.Si.

 

 

The concept of circular economy in waste management is still based on the 3 Rs, namely reduce, reuse, and recycle. The most important thing to understand about the circular economy principle is that managing waste generates economic benefits.

 

 

After the speakers' presentation, the discussion session continued. The discussion session ended with the presentation of plaques and certificates to the village head, resource persons, and moderators and ended with a group photo session.
