Equilibrium Sport League Promote Sports Achievement of FEB Unud

Udayana University Faculty of Economics and Business Student Executive Board (BEM FEB Unud) held the 10th Equilibrium Sport League (ESL) in 2023, chaired by Kadek Ari Maha Gangga Artha Wiguna. The 10th ESL event took place for several days, namely from Sunday (9/7) to Saturday (15/7) when it was held fully offline at Freedom Futsal Arena, Udayana Badminton Hall, and Liga Bali Arena, and ended with a closing ceremony on Monday (17/7) at Sudirman Campus FEB Unud. ESL this year carries the theme "Push Your Limits and Show Your Spirit with Hard Work to Be a Champion". The purpose of this activity is to develop interests and talents, explore the potential of FEB Unud students, and identify students who excel in the field of sports. Unlike last year, this year ESL held six sports, namely Futsal, Badminton, and 3x3 basketball, which is the addition of a new competition, and the rest are Chess, PUBG Mobile, and Mobile Legends. Participants who participated in the activity were representatives of each FEB Unud Study Program. The Management Study Program was the overall champion in the ESL competition, so it received the rotating trophy with the highest points compared to other study programs. Then, the second rank was achieved by the Accounting Study Program, followed by the Economics Study Program as the third rank, and the last rank was obtained by the Diploma Study Program.

Exploring the interests and honing the talents of students is an important thing to do to be able to develop their potential to achieve achievements. Achievement can not only be achieved in the academic field but can also be obtained in non-academic fields such as sports. Moving on from this, FEB Unud finally held ESL, which was accommodated by BEM FEB Unud. In line with that, the tenth ESL has a special purpose, one of which is to get outstanding student seeds in various sports that are competed in as candidates from the FEB Contingent in the Udayana University Anniversary event and to advance as prospective representatives in the MLCC, PMCC, and POMNas XVIII events. In addition, ESL not only accommodates physical sports but also hones the talents of students in the e-sports branch, which is currently popular with many people.

ESL, which involved all FEB Unud study programs, lasted for one week, with matches held in stages. The series of ESL events began with the opening of the tenth ESL and a chess match as an opener held in the BH Building Hall and BM Room 2.3, FEB Unud. The series of matches continued the next day, namely futsal, which took place at Freedom Futsal Arena, Jimbaran. Then, we continued with badminton, which took place at Udayana Badminton Hall, Denpasar. Then, the 3x3 Basketball match was held at Liga Bali Arena, Denpasar, and the series of competitions was closed with PUBG Mobile and Mobile Legends on different days held in the BJ FEB Unud Building Hall.

Becoming a champion is not easy; it takes passion, hard work, and prayer to become a winner. The winners of the 10th ESL match from various study programs certainly understand this. The challenges and processes that accompany each step are able to increase the unyielding spirit to be the best. The closing series of the 10th ESL began with the announcement of the champions and the awarding of prizes for each branch of the competition; the general champion was accompanied by the handover of the rotating trophy, and the official closing was marked by beating the gong three times by the Dean of FEB Unud, who on this occasion was represented by the Deputy Dean 3 for Student Affairs. ESL is not the end point of the struggle of FEB Unud students to compete and excel. However, it is a new beginning for students to continue to achieve brilliant achievements, especially in the field of sports in the international arena.
