DOCTORAL PROMOTION SESSION I WAYAN SUGIARTANA, S.T. M.M. DOCTORAL STUDY PROGRAM IN ECONOMICS FEB UNUD

Improving the quality and visitation of tourists must continue to be pursued by the Pangan Tourism Village community because it is expected to contribute to maintaining and improving the welfare of the village community. However, in reality, the contribution of tourism villages in improving community welfare is still very small. So that the life of the village community is more working farmers and other jobs. The phenomenon of the contribution of tourist villages to the surrounding community is the topic of dissertation research from I Wayan Sugiartana, S.T., M.M.. In the Doctoral Promotion session of the Doctor of Economics Study Program which took place on Thursday, July 20, 2023, Promovendus presented the results of dissertation research entitled: Determinants of Tourism Village Management Performance and Community Welfare in Pangsan Village, Badung Regency.

 


 

Promovendus explained that the purpose of this research is to (1) analyze the effect of Tri Hita Karana Implementation, Government Role, Social Capital and Community Participation on Tourism Village Management Performance. (2) analyze the effect of Tri Hita Karana Implementation, Government Role, Social Capital, Community Participation and Tourism Village Management Performance on community welfare. (3) analyzing the role of Tourism Village Management Performance in mediating the Implementation of Tri Hita Karana, Government Role, Social Capital and Community Participation on Community Welfare. And after conducting a series of analysis processes, the results showed that (1) The Implementation of Tri Hita Karana, the Role of Government, Social Capital and Community Participation had an effect on improving the Performance of Tourism Village Managers in Pangsan Village, Badung Regency. (2) The implementation of Tri Hita Karana, the role of the government, and social capital directly have not been able to optimally improve community welfare, while community participation and the performance of tourism village managers directly affect the improvement of community welfare in Pangsan Village, Badung Regency. (3) The Performance of Tourism Village Managers is able to increase the influence of the Implementation of Tri Hita Karana, the Role of Government, Social Capital and Community Participation in improving Community Welfare in Pangsan Village, Badung Regency.

 

 

This Doctoral Promotion Session was held Offline, the Promoter of Promovendus was Mr. Prof. Dr. Drs. Made Kembar Sri Budhi, M.P., as well as the Copromoter Mrs. I Dr. Ni Putu Wiwin Setyari, S.E., M.Si. and Copromoter II Mr. Prof. Dr. Nyoman Djinar Setiawina, S.E., M.S. The Doctoral Promotion Examination was chaired by the Chairperson of the Session who was also the Head of PSDE Study Program, Mrs. Prof. Dr. Ni Nyoman Yuliarmi, S.E., M.P..

 

 

Promovendus works as a Lecturer and also as the Coordinator of the Business Administration Study Program at the Wira Bhakti College of Social and Political Sciences, and Promovendus successfully passed the exam with a Very Satisfactory predicate.
