A visit from PT Awina Sinergi Internasional to the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University Regarding the Student Internship Program Collaboration to Japan

Udayana University's Faculty of Engineering received a visit from PT Awina Sinergi Internasional on Friday, June 16, 2023 in Meeting Room I of the Dean Building of the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, Jimbaran. This visit focused on discussing the collaboration between PT Awina Sinergi Internasional and the Faculty of Engineering, especially in the exchange of apprentice students to Awina companies in Japan.

The existence of a collaboration between the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University and a company that specializes in solar tracking begins with research collaboration in the field of solar panels. Now, this collaboration has spread to the field of student exchange, thus enabling Engineering Faculty students to do internships at PT Awina Sinergi Internasional.

Regarding the exchange of apprentice students, the selection will be carried out directly by the Japanese. The Faculty of Engineering will provide directions both offline and online to students. After that, interviews will be conducted to screen students to each company. So, companies can select students according to their abilities. Students who pass will then get Japanese language courses from the company before the internship begins.

With this student internship exchange, it is hoped that the knowledge learned by students during lectures at the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University can be applied in Japanese companies. And when they return from their internships, students can absorb as much knowledge from Japanese companies as possible.

On the same occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Ir. Linawati, M.Eng., Sc., Ph.D. expects the Faculty of Engineering to become a Faculty with independence in the energy sector. "We want to make the Faculty of Engineering an example of independence in the energy sector because there is a lot of cooperation too. With the cooperation of the internship program it is very helpful, of course this is in line with MBKM. Hopefully it will be realized soon," he said.
