Establishing Cooperation, Faculty of Animal Husbandry Unud Socialization and Promotion of Masters and Doctoral Degrees to the Department of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries of Karangasem Regency

Wednesday, June 7, 2023. The Faculty of Animal Husbandry of Udayana University carried out a visit to the Department of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries of Karangasem Regency. This event was held in the Meeting Room of the Agricultural Extension Center (BPP) Karangasem District, Karangasem Regency. This activity was represented by Deputy Dean I for Academic and Planning Affairs, Dr. Ir. Dewi Ayu Warmadewi, S.Pt., M.Sc., IPM., ASEAN Eng. and accompanied by the Coordinator of the Master of Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ni Wayan Siti, M.Sc. and Ko UPIKS Fapet Unud Dr. Ir. Eny Puspani, S.Pt., M.S. Received directly by the Head of the Karangasem Regency Agriculture, Food and Fisheries Service I Nyoman Siki Ngurah, ST., MT. along with its staff.

 

The visit carried out aims to establish cooperation with the Agriculture, Food, and Fisheries Service of Karangasem Regency, through the promotion of the Master of Animal Science Study Program (S2) and Doctoral Program (S3) of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University. Head of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries Office of Karangasem Regency I Nyoman Siki Ngurah, ST., MT. said that it greatly encourages the improvement of the quality of human resources in the institution. “I really encourage the training of my friends to improve their skills through education to a higher level. Because it will also affect career, rank, and others, “said Mr. Siki.

 

Over the past few years, almost every batch of master's and doctoral students at the Faculty of Animal Husbandry at Udayana University has come from alumni and also employees at the Department of Agriculture throughout Bali. The Deputy Dean for Academic and Planning explained that "Hopefully, cooperation through a continuation study program between employees at the Karangasem Regency Agriculture, Food and Fisheries Office at our institution, especially at the Masters and Doctoral levels, can continue to be carried out every year." The Coordinator of the Master of Animal Science Study Program, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University added, "It is hoped that an increase in the educational status of employees will not only have an impact on increasing the competence of graduates of the Masters and Doctoral Programs at the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University but also contribute both thoughts and abilities in advancing the District Agriculture, Food and Fisheries Service. Karangasem in a better direction”.
