Together With Biology Create Color in Society The Theme of 38th Biology Conservation FMIPA Udayana University
Sunday, May 7 2023, at the Widya Sabha Auditorium Building, Udayana University, The Biology Student Association for the 2023 period is holding the 38th Conservation Biology event in order to celebrate the birthday of the Biology Study Program, FMIPA, Udayana University. The event with the theme "Together With Biology Create Color in Society" means "Through the 38th Biological Conservation activity, we can create various kinds of colors in society". This theme was chosen because it was realized that the Biology Study Program was very closely related to society through learning and community service. So it is hoped that the Biology Study Program can create various colors of participation in enlivening the community environment.
After the pandemic, the 38th Biology Conservation was held offline at the Widya Sabha Auditorium Building, Udayana University. This family event which was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Dra. Ni Luh Watiniasih, M.Sc, Ph.D, Undergraduate Coordinator of the Biology Study Program, Coordinator of the Biology Masters Study Program, Coordinator of the Biology Doctoral Study Program, Lecturers in the Biology Study Program Environment, Head of the Biology Student Association, Head of the Environmental Student Association for the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, and students of the Biology Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, took place lively and full of intimacy.
The 38th Biology Conservation event was opened with the Angelo Peacock Dance, which is a creative dance from the Biology Study Program used as a welcoming dance for this event. The event then continued with the delivery of remarks from the chairman of the committee, Chair of the Biology Student Association, Undergraduate Coordinator of the Biology Study Program, and Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Dra. Ni Luh Watiniasih, M.Sc, Ph.D who also officially opened the 38th Biological Conservation event.
On this occasion, there was also a ceremonial event, namely cutting the tumpeng in the framework of the 38th Birthday of the Biology Study Program. The event continued with attractive performances from students of all classes of 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 as well as presentations from several lecturers in the Biology Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
In her remarks Watiniasih expressed her hope to the Biology Study Program that in 2023 the biology study program will be even more successful and full of innovation and of course the results will be well received in society. Watiniasih also hopes that the biology study program can oversee the accreditation that is being prepared so that it can meet the quota contained in the MIPA faculty. It is hoped that the lecturers can become a driving force as a filler for the performance in accordance with the quota that has been assigned by the Chancellor of Udayana University to FMIPA. This will later also become a barometer of performance achievement which will bring change for Biology students and study programs, of course. Furthermore, the Dean of FMIPA expects student participation to participate in Ministry programs, especially PKM and MBKM because there have been many PKM proposals that will be submitted in 2024 so that the quality of students who play an active role in participating in international and national competitions can increase.
