The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University held an assessment of cooperation with the School of Veterinary Science from Yamaguchi University and Tottori University, Japan
Together with attending the 7th International Symposium Association of Japan Indonesia Veterinary Education (AJIVE) at Hasanuddin University Hotel, Makassar, (11 February 2023). The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM) of Udayana University held an assessment of collaboration with the School of Veterinary Medicine Yamaguchi University and the School of Veterinary Science, Tottori University Japan. The exploratory activity was attended by the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Cooperation, Dr. drh. I Wayan Sudira, M.Si together with UNUD FVM Cooperation staff, drh. I Made Kardena, MVS met and coordinated directly with two veterinary organizations from two universities in Japan. Dean of the School of Veterinary Medicine, Yamaguchi University, Prof. Masahisa Watarai, DVM, PhD and Dean of the School of Veterinary Science, Tottori University, Prof. Tsuyoshi Yamagichi, DVM, PhD.
Exploring this collaboration opens opportunities for FVM UNUD to collaborate in the academic, research and student exchange fields. In addition, an assessment of national cooperation was also carried out with the coordinator of the Hasanuddin University Veterinary Study Program, Dr. drh. Dwi Kesuma Sari, APVet, especially for student exchange programs. This student exchange activity is within the framework of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program where students get the opportunity to study at different universities but are still in the same study program. With the existence of a Cooperation Agreement between the Veterinary Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University, it can support the MBKM program.
Exploring this collaboration is also an effort to extend the MoU between Hasanuddin University and Udayana University, which has completed their collaboration period in 2018. From this event, it is hoped that national and international cooperation from the UNUD Faculty of Veterinary Medicine will follow up on closer cooperation until a cooperation agreement (PKS) is obtained. with these parties and can make a positive contribution to FVM UNUD.
