Udayana University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Extends Cooperation with FDCH Timor Leste.
The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University, extended the collaboration with Timor Leste's Fundo de Desenvolvimento do Capital Humano (FDCH) on 9/12/2022 at the Bahasa Room, 2nd floor of the Rectorate Building, Udayana University. This cooperation extension activity was followed by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) from Udayana University with FDCH Timor Leste. Present at this collaboration extension activity was the Deputy Chancellor for Planning, Cooperation and Information, Prof. Dr. dr. I Putu Gede Adiatmika, M.Kes., Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM) Udayana University, Prof. Dr. drh. I Nyoman Suartha, M.Sc., Deputy Dean for General Affairs and Planning of FVM Unud, Dr. drh. Luh Gde Sri Surya Heryani, M.Biomed, Coordinator of the Information Management and Cooperation Unit of FVM Unud, drh. I Wayan Nico Fajar Gunawan, M.Si and staff of the Cooperation Bureau from Udayana University. Meanwhile, the FDCH was represented by the Executive Director of Human Capital Development Fund FDCH., Dr. Cristovao do Reis and Virgilio Ramos and Costa as HR Chief Department of Human Capital Development Fund FDCH.
The activity began with remarks by Prof. Adiatmika as Vice Rector in charge of Cooperation. Prof. Adiatmika welcomed the FDCH parties, and conveyed the progress that had been prepared by Udayana University regarding the disclosure of student information, especially for scholarship awardee. Udayana University has prepared an information disclosure system for the development of student studies so that later it can be seen by scholarship providers in order to monitoring and evaluating. Prof. Suartha further conveyed the process of developing the studies of FDCH scholarship awardee at Unud Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. The event then continued with the signing of the MoU and MoA between Udayana University and Fundo de Desenvolvimento do Capital Humano Timor Leste.
Fundo de Desenvolvimento do Capital Humano is an institution for improving human capital in Timor Leste. The FDCH Institute provides scholarships to the people of Timor Leste to continue their education to a higher level. Apart from Udayana University, FDCH also cooperates with other universities not only in Indonesia but also other countries such as: Portugal, Brazil, Argentina, as well as several other European countries. Dr. Cristovao expressed his gratitude for the cooperation that had taken place. He further stated that many East Timorese citizens chose to continue their education in Bali due to the relatively close distance. The FDCH scholarship recipients are spread across various faculties at Udayana University starting from the Bachelor level to the Doctoral level. Furthermore, it is hoped that the collaboration between Udayana University and FDCH can take place onwards.
