Bravo, Agricultural and Biosystem Engineering Students at FTP Udayana University Funded 140 Million by Google and the Ministry of Education and Culture for Ambroise Application Development

One student of the Agricultural and Biosystem Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University (TPB FTP Unud) became one of the application development teams "Ambroise - Virtual Hairstyle and Smart Barbershop" is an application platform that will target the public, especially men who have confusion in determining hairstyles, the location of the nearest barbershop, making online bookings and payment by e-payment. One of the students of the Agricultural and Biosystem Engineering Study Program of FTP UNUD is I Putu Arya Patrama Khrisna Putra with NIM 1910531022 in the field of Cloud Computing, who is a graduate of the Bangkit Academy 2022 Led by Google, Gojek, Tokopedia, and Traveloka programs as well as one of the programs flagship of the Merdeka Campus, Kemendikbudristek.

 

Together with other Bangkit 2022 graduates, with team leader Safir Rahmahuda Machsun (Brawijaya University) followed by 5 other members namely Annas Agung Cahyo Murti Utomo (Brawijaya University), Andika Irza Pradana (Brawijaya University), Jeconiah Sugiyanto (Bina Nusantara University), I Putu Arya Patrama Khrisna Putra (Udayana University), and Alwan Fauzi (Surabaya State Electronics Polytechnic). All of the best graduates from 4 different colleges collaborated to create an application that will make it easier for millennials / moderns to determine the right hairstyle and have complete features such as Barbershop Booking Features, Nearest Barbershop, e-payment, Hairstyle Recommendations (hair style) and live chat.

 

The Ambroise application project is the final project of product based capstone held by Google Bangkit 2022. This project managed to outperform the 15 best projects after competing with 437 projects that were included in product based capstone. For this success, Ambroise managed to get funding from Google and the Ministry of Education and Technology of 10 thousand dollars or Rp. 140,000,000 to continue application development to become a startup that collaborates directly with MSMEs, especially Barbershops. This incubation will take place at Brawijaya University as the Lead University which will be directly supervised by the chair lecturer, namely, Dr.Eng. Fitra A. Bachtiar, S.T., M.Eng. who is one of the Lecturers of the Computer Science Study Program, Universitas Brawijaya. Not only that, Ambroise also has 2 mentors from the industry, namely, Jonathan Darwin (Software Engineer - Android at Tokopedia) and Jonathan Geoffrey (Key Account Manager - AddApptr - Germany) who will provide mentoring and thoughts.

 

Bangkit is an Independent Campus - Independent Study program that has been approved and fully supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology - Republic of Indonesia. This industry-led, interdisciplinary and immersive program is designed to produce high-caliber technical talent for world-class Indonesian tech companies and startups. This year 3,100 students from 291 universities across Indonesia were selected from more than 63,000 applicants to join Bangkit. They learn to improve their technical skills, soft skills, and English competence to help them get better jobs in their future careers in the technology industry.
