ADVOCACY CLASS FMIPA 2022 - NIRMANA ADITYA YAUVANA NYATA PRAMANA CETTA PARINAMA BUDDHAYAH
Sunday, June 26, 2022. Critical thinking is a person's ability to seek, obtain, analyze, and provide conclusions regarding an information. Critical thinking skills will help people to solve problems that occur around them. Therefore, BEM FMIPA Udayana University as an organization that became a forum for the success of FMIPA students at Udayana University held an Advocacy Class for FMIPA 2022.
Continuing chapter 1 which was previously held in Nusantara Room, Agrokompleks Building Floor 4, UNUD Sudirman campus on 8 May 2022, BEM FMIPA once again held an Advocacy Class Chapter 2 which was held on Sunday 26 June 2022 at the FG Building, Chemistry study program , UNUD Jimbaran campus. This activity was attended by 36 participants from all undergraduate study programs at FMIPA UNUD.
This chapter 2 advocacy class was held in 2 sessions where the 1st session began with a FGD discussing 3 motions that had been prepared by the committee, namely:
- Student demonstrations have become a negative culture in Indonesia
- All regional traditions and cultures will continue to be carried out in a pandemic condition
- The use of foreign languages in daily communication shows a lack of nationalism
After the FGD session, it was continued with the 2nd session, namely a debate session between the pro and con teams to discuss all the motions given by the committee. In this debate, the committee presents 3 competent judges, namely:
- I Gusti Ngurah Bagus Krisna Vijaya – Student from the Faculty of Law UNUD
- Putu Nanda Priscilia Dewi – Alumni from International Relations Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences - UNUD
- I Kadek Putra Pratama - Student from International Relations Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences - UNUD
The chairman of the committee, Rizky jaisuari galuh - Staff of the Department of Advocacy and student welfare, from the Pharmacy study program expressed his gratitude to all parties for their support. Especially to the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences through the Dean and Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Information, thank you to the jury who have taken the time to myself to participate in their busy schedule, thank you to the committees who have worked hard for more than a month, and thank you to the participants who have participated and provided their insight on the 3 motions that have been prepared. Hopefully this critical thinking will become a culture that will always stick in the minds of every student who will be able to produce the best thoughts for the common welfare.
In his speech, the Dean of FMIPA Dra. Ni Luh Watiniasih, M.Sc, Ph.D said that critical thinking is a person's ability to search, obtain, analyze, and provide conclusions related to information. Critical thinking skills will help people to solve problems that occur around them.
The purpose and objective of taking the topic "Student demonstrations have become a negative culture in Indonesia, all regional traditions and cultures are still carried out in a pandemic condition, the use of foreign languages in daily communication shows a lack of sense of nationalism" which in this case looks at the development side that is has been or is being implemented and debating this topic is we want of course as students not to be apathetic. So with this topic, it is hoped that participants will be able to provide their views and generate critical thinking skills from participants to provide arguments related to this topic, so that it implicitly has implications for increasing critical thinking skills of participants.
With the implementation of this activity, it is hoped that the students of FMIPA Udayana University can gain information and insight about critical thinking.
