Strengthening Cooperation: Leaders of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University Held a Visit to the Denpasar Agriculture Quarantine Class I.
In order to strengthen cooperation, on Thursday (12 May 2022) the leadership of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM) Unud visited the Denpasar Class I Agricultural Quarantine Center. During the visit, the leaders of the FVM Unud consisting of Prof. Dr. drh. I Nyoman Suartha MSi (Dean), Mr. Dr. drh I Gst. Ngurah Sudisma, MSi (Vice Dean for Planning and Academic Affairs), Mrs. Dr. drh Luh Gde Sri Surya Heryani, MBiomed (Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance) and Dr. drh. I Wayan Sudira, MSi (Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Information and Cooperation), was warmly welcomed by the Head of the Center, namely Drh I Putu Terunanegara, MM. Located in the Meeting Room of the Denpasar Class I Agricultural Quarantine Center.
The Head of the Center on this occasion expressed his gratitude for the arrival of the FVM Unud leadership group. It began with the introduction of the Denpasar Quarantine leadership and staff, most of whom were alumni from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Unud, followed by a presentation by Drh. I Putu Terunanegara, MM, "That cooperation between agencies within the department of agriculture and educational institutions, especially Veterinary Medicine is very important in progress in their respective fields, so it is hoped that there will be coordination and cooperation between the Quarantine Center and Faculties, especially the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine." a very important role in keeping an area safe from the entry of various diseases originating from animals and materials of animal origin. Many students have been active in Quarantine, both in the implementation of learning and internships which have been running without coordination and have not been recorded properly. It is hoped that in the future all activities carried out under this collaboration will be recorded properly and there will be reports.
The Dean of FVM Unud on this occasion said that one of the indicators of the progress of the Faculty is accreditation. "To achieve superior accreditation, the role of relevant agencies is very important in improving the quality of faculties, and there needs to be good cooperation in order to achieve superior accreditation," said Prof. Suartha.
Cooperation in the field of education is recognized that the Denpasar Class I Agricultural Quarantine Center has participated in giving lectures to FVM Unud students related to the Veterinary Law Course. During the meeting it was also revealed that so far, the Denpasar Class I Agricultural Quarantine Center has collaborated in various fields of Research, Education and Service in accordance with the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. In the future, cooperation will be carried out in fulfilling the Main Performance Indicators (MPI) of the Faculty, the Merdeka Learning Program for the Independent Campus launched by the Ministry of Education and Culture, one of which is an off-campus internship. That was the thing that was said by Vice Dean for Planning and Academic Affairs. On that occasion also conveyed the importance of documenting the activities carried out in order to follow up on the cooperation which was conveyed by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Information and Cooperation. The Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance also said that this collaboration requires a fee, so it is also the responsibility of both parties whose goal is that everything can run well.
The contribution and involvement of the Quarantine Center so far has been very clear, tangible and has been proven to be valid in supporting every activity carried out by FVM Unud, especially during accreditation. The meeting ended with a discussion about the implementation of the program which will be followed up during the implementation of the activity program, at that time the Head of the Center gave a memento to the Dean in the form of a Quarantine Plaque, not to forget there was a group photo session as a documentation report of the activity.
